What Information Do We Collect?

In Short: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us.

We collect personal information you provide when you register, express interest in our products, participate in activities, or contact us. The information collected depends on your interactions and the features you use.

Personal Information Provided by You

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, and account login details
  • Account role information, such as whether you use Unimap+ as a student, vendor, or rider
  • Student information, school or campus information, delivery address, and order details
  • Vendor business information, menu listings, prices, availability, bank settlement details, and business verification documents where required
  • Rider profile information, delivery availability, delivery status, and payout details
  • National identification number or business verification documents where required by law, compliance checks, or platform safety rules

Some verification requirements may be temporarily unavailable, disabled, or introduced in future app updates. For example, Unimap+ may require non-student vendors, riders, or certain business users to provide additional identity or business verification documents such as National Identification Number (NIN), CAC documents, government-issued identification, or related compliance information before accessing specific features, receiving payouts, or continuing to use the platform.

Sensitive Information

When necessary and with your consent or as permitted by law, we may process:

  • Student data

Payment Data

We collect data necessary to process your payment, such as your payment instrument number and security code. All payment data is handled and stored by Monnify. View their privacy policy at monnify.com/privacy-policy. Unimap+ does not directly store users' full payment card details.

User-Generated Content

We may collect photos, images, descriptions, and other content that you voluntarily upload to our platform. For example, vendors may upload food images for their menu listings. These uploads are used to display your content within the app, operate the marketplace, and provide the Services. We do not sell these images, and we do not share them with third parties except as necessary to host, display, moderate, secure, or provide the Services.

App Activity, Search, and Recommendations

We collect data about your in-app activity, including items you order, search for, view, add to cart, rate, customise, or interact with. We use this information to operate the app, improve user experience, power AI-based recommendations, suggest relevant food items and vendors, reduce decision fatigue, and personalise parts of the service based on your preferences and order history.

Application Data

  • Geolocation Information. We may request access to precise or approximate location depending on the feature and your role. Students may use location for AI meal recommendations, campus map navigation, accurate distance estimates, and delivery address support. Riders may use location while available or fulfilling deliveries so customers can track delivery progress and so Unimap+ can help confirm that items are delivered to customers. Vendors are not asked for location as part of normal vendor dashboard use. You can change location permissions in your device settings at any time, but some location-based features may not work without this access.
  • Push Notifications. We may request to send push notifications. Vendors use notifications for new orders and scheduled orders. Riders use notifications for new delivery opportunities and delivery workflow updates. Students use notifications for order updates such as rider accepted, rider on the way, rider arrived, and occasional reminders to order when inactive. You can opt out in your device settings.
  • Device and app information. We may collect device identifiers, push tokens, app platform, browser type, crash or diagnostic information, and similar technical data needed to run, secure, debug, and improve the Services.

All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate.
